November Scorpio High Priestess Birthday
Psychic Newsletter, November
I turned 70 on the 21st of this month. Although I was born on the last day of Scorpio, I have 7 planets along with the Sun in Scorpio. The rumour that, if you are born on a cusp means the strength of the sign is weaker, is false. If you would like to learn more about your sign, I would recommend you have your complete astrological chart done. It also makes a great gift for a loved one. Many buy a reading with me for a loved one to celebrate special occasions and many collective ones are around the corner!
In a workshop many years ago, the facilitator picked my chart (we submitted our information prior to the workshop) to discuss with the group. The facilitator didn’t know anything about me other than my chart.
She asked what I did for a living because my chart archetype was mystic. When I described my work, everyone giggled and the facilitator ogled.
Discover how aging with verve means embracing intuition, finding flow, and laughing at life’s quirks while exploring mystical and spiritual truths.
It’s declared that we return to a childlike state as we party on into old age. We become stronger in our indifference to social norms and weaker in our physical acumen, rather like children. We spontaneously express what we are thinking and feeling with unselfconscious abandon, we are annoyingly unpredictable and random, and self-focused. Kids and old people adore each other.
Waste not, want not, becomes one of the mantras of the aged and at the top of that list is time. As Jim Rohn said, “Time is more valuable than money. You can get more money but you cannot get more time.” I am impatient with people and situations that waste my time.
I continue to be focused on the mental process to enter that mental state referred to as flow. I love this state more than any other. It’s a meditation in creative motion.
Respectable Elder/Crone
We don’t have to collapse into the elderly role entirely but being aware enables us to use it to our benefit. Expectations drop, allowing room to challenge stereo types and relish a satisfying and rude belly laugh especially on ourselves.
As we’re approaching the check-out counter in a place that offers a senior discount, my husband pronounces redundantly, “We’re old.” The check out clerk quickly glances at me seeking permission to laugh. Because, as the female in the pair, this we confession is possibly an offence. I laugh to assure them I’m not the least perturbed. I AM old and grateful for the privilege.
Memory
I struggle to allow memory slips to pass without panicking. My keen memory has always been an extraordinary and dependable gift. I mourn witnessing her weaken.
It never hurts to do a thorough examination and assessment regarding what in your life needs to be revised, tossed or embraced. I honour birthdays more with culling than accumulating. But I did “accumulate” a few things this birthday. Toys for an aging girl like red light therapy. Check it out!
Scorpio & the High Priestess
The Majors Tarot card for Scorpio is the High Priestess. This is the card that represents our Spiritual Mother. Like Scorpio, she is the mystic, dream interpreter, card reader, wise woman of the Tarot. Her element is water and she reminds us that we came from spirit and it is to spirit we will return.
We listen to her guidance or she will knock us down with depression, neurosis, self harm, materialism or any number of maladies which emerge when we fail to position our spiritual health at the pivot point of all our decisions.
The High Priestess’ guidance may be severe, painful on the ears and heart, indelicate and devasting. She points the way to freedom and reminds us the cost is steep. November is a fitting month for the High Priestess. It’s at the centre of the luminous, transitional time of the year.
I wish you a glorious and spiritual month. Pay special attention to the High Priestess in your psyche/soul. What does your intuition say is Her message to you this month? Strain to hear her message above the racket and for fun, do what she’s telling you to do without reservation. If she recommends some random action, course, phone call – just do it!
Blessings Kathleen

The High Priestess in the Tarot
She represents the connection to and influence of the unconscious mind, the misty, inspirational dimensions of thought and intellect that create the vision for the conscious mind of the Magician to follow. She symbolizes spiritual enlightenment, inner illumination, connection to your instincts and intuition, and being in touch with your inner spiritual guidance. She reveals matters affected by emotional concerns, hidden factors, psychic feelings and hunches, compulsions and automatic responses. She is pure Moon energy at its best.
