May Your ’23 Be Luscious, Loving and Joyful
Synchronicity Given Meaning by Connections
I was speaking with a friend recently who had received devastating news over the holidays regarding her much-loved older brother. Pancreatic cancer. Since that news she’s been experiencing a rapid-fire onslaught of “coincidences” seeming related to this news. Overhearing conversations, turning on the television depicting a brother/sister relationship, talking to a friend who unprovoked suddenly starts talking about how hard it was to lose her brother years earlier. A countless stream of seemingly random events that felt related to the event but not provoked by it.
Psychic Expansion Follows Traumatic Event
There is a fine line between imagination and spiritual insight. Even when we know we are being given messages via an indeterminate source, we are often at a complete loss to their meaning. As spiritual and/or psychic expansion does often follow a traumatic event, the recipient is rarely prepared knowledge-wise for the interpretive next-step. A near-death experience through accident or illness, a sudden and profound loss, a natural disaster or a multiple people accident may all release a spiritual awakening.
Spirit Desperate to Communicate with Family
One client came to me several years ago after receiving a series of spiritual messages from someone she didn’t know. Watching the news one evening, the woman whose spirit she was communicating with, appeared suddenly on the screen. She had died through a boating accident which explained why my client always saw her under water! The spirit was desperate to have a communication with her family but her family wanted nothing to do with my client fearing her intentions were not to be trusted. That client wanted nothing to do with random spiritualist communications. It was disruptive, confusing and frustrating. She couldn’t figure out why she of all people should be attracting the attention of a spirit-woman she didn’t know nor could help. It seems that the spirit world cannot comprehend a physical reality that we just can’t just call up strangers to relate their messages! Mores, protocols, legal concerns and all manner of earth plane inhibitions prevent us from following through on spiritual messages.
Interpreting Spiritual Messages May Take Years
Mediums and psychics often reach for divination tools such as tea leaves, crystal balls, pendulums, numerology, palm reading and cards. One of the benefits of a divination tool is that there are classic interpretive meanings associated with the symbol. You have only to learn and memorize the definitions to be on your way to interpreting the symbols. When messages come through on a unique medium such as photographs or dream images, which are not typically regarded as divination tools, all the complex interpretive work will have to be done by the medium or the psychic themselves. Accurate interpretation may take years to establish. Rather like learning to interpret your personal dream symbols or visions, interpreting spiritual messages requires many hours of journaling and illustrating the symbol itself. This needs to be followed up with taking notes over the following months perhaps years, how the message unfolds.

Spiritual Perspective Elevates Our Spirit
For my friend today however, seeing and recognizing the symbols as spiritual messages is enough to send her over the moon with joy, excitement, anticipation and engagement. It feels to her as if a secret door has miraculously opened, showing her possibilities and a future that will be ever more interesting and fulfilling. The larger, more encompassing spiritual perspective elevates our spirit enabling us to see beyond our personal concerns and petty worries. We are forgiven and we forgive; we know we aren’t alone and we are loved.It brings with it a sense of connect-ness to all that is and was and opens our senses to the limitless possibilities, not only in this life but the one we’ll have in the spiritual world.
My word for the upcoming ’23 year is “spirited”. What’s yours? My Tarot card this year will be the Hanged Man (determined by your birthday). The Hanged One promises unique perspectives, a relinquishing of control in order to release to enlightenment.I’ve started working on the 6 Minute Diary which I highly recommend. I’ve listed 23 things I want to do, accomplish, learn, experience this year and I’ve begun working with Dr. Joe Dispenza’s book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself. A book that has already hit my life with powerful synchronicity.
On my Tarot monthly wall calendar, this month is represented by the Queen of Pentacles. I often refer to her as the doc of the deck. She fully discerns spirit embodied. She is the earth mother at her finest. Her deep rootedness goes profoundly into the earth, the body and your material concerns. She is the material girl loving plushness, bling, treats and the animal and plant kingdoms. She is the earth Goddess who encompasses us in her warm embrace. She folds us into her ample bosom and sings a lullaby that sooths our disrupted soul. Let January be that month when you care deeply for your body. Be in it, listen to its soulful calling and heal the wounds that persist and fester.
My goal for ’23 is balance. I have a feeling it is going to be a very spiritually auspicious year indeed. Achieving balance is already challenging me to adhere to my promise to myself as so many of you purchased readings for your loved ones this past Christmas season.
