Choosing the Right Healer: A Soulful Match
Psychic Newsletter
In no way should one form of consultation preclude another. A therapist and a psychic will approach suffering and choice from a different perspective. The more perspectives the merrier!
Importance of Finding a Healer Who Resonates with Your Energy and Soul
A Healer Needs to be a Good Fit for YOU
Never assume that because a therapist has done wonders for someone, they will be good for you too. There is a magical, energetic pairing of client to therapist always. In everything but especially when joining to do soul and healing work.
A problem with the therapeutic “professional” model is that it can be, both as a client and therapist, boringly repetitive. You wonder how many times you’ll be asked to go over the same problem before something shifts.
This is one of the many reasons seeing a psychotherapist can be both lengthy and expensive. Depending on their orientation, education and experience, therapists may charge upwards of $250/hr. and if you need to see them once or twice a week for a year or two, this is prohibitively pricey.
Breaking Free from Repetition: The Cost of Long-Term Psychotherapy
Financial and time-related challenges associated with long-term psychotherapy
This presents another problem. Long term therapy is only accessible to the well-heeled. The VERY well heeled. Psychoanalysis (Freud) and analysis (Jung) is an incredibly expensive proposition. Although it can result in a complete restructuring of your psyche, the process typically costs in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Beyond the Stigma: Seeking Oracle Insights
Other problems with psychotherapy may include a fear of being perceived as mentally ill and weak. There might be a stigma against seeing a psychotherapist in the clients’ circle of family and friends. This means they must be vigilant about keeping it private.
They might not want their employers to know they are seeking healing which means they dare not access their insurance benefits or book appointments during work hours.
Concept of seeking oracle insights as an alternative
Not that seeking an oracle is a strong indicator of rock-solid sanity. There are, however, innumerable ways to giggle away a psychic consult, such as, doing it for fun, going along with a friend, curiosity or wanting to be distracted and entertained can suffice. None of these reasons will stick however, when discovered you are in therapy.
Being an Oracle is More Fun
I prefer being someone’s oracle rather than their therapist. Mostly it’s because I’m not hampered by the government/insurance rules of engagement set down by a financial body. Psychotherapists have a myriad of things outside the therapy room they must consider – insurance companies, government and certification bodies for starters. If they are associated with a doctor, then the medical community will have a stake in their practice.
Confidentiality Unleashed: Why I Keep My Clients’ Secrets
Importance of confidentiality and contrasts it with the transparency demanded by insurance companies.
Confidentiality is a pesky issue as well especially if an organization (ie insurance company or company the clients is working for) is paying the bill. These paying bodies demand copies of detailed report writing, submissions, diagnosis and treatment plans. When a client is sharing their soul with a therapist, they must consider that their confidentiality as a loose concept. I never share. In fact, no one even knows who my clients are!
Another insurmountable barrier for me is that spiritual insights are not welcome in a therapeutic consult. Professional reputation is a concern for practitioners. Some therapists may even consider spiritual experiences as further indicators of mental instability.
Spiritual Wisdom vs. Therapeutic Norms: A Psychic’s Perspective
Consider how psychics approach problems differently.
Examples of How Psychics and Therapists Approach a Problem
Love: The focus in therapy is on the client and how they function in a relationship. I may have a psychic sense about what their partner thinks and feels with respect to the relationship and will share that insight. I also will offer predictions about whether the relationship is doomed or able to thrive.
Health: I’m honest with clients with health issues which most healers uncomfortable doing.
Career: A therapist will focus on the client’s skill, experience and education. Specifically concentrating on the gaps that must be addressed for future success. As a psychic, I consider these issues, and further discuss life purpose, creative expression, and business development from a spiritual perspective.
Spiritual Attacks: There is such a thing. No therapist, however, will discuss them. Energy vampires, voodoo practices, curses and luck are not something most clients will discuss with a psychotherapist for fear they will be diagnosed as insane.
As an oracle I won’t disparage or judge ANY spiritual experience. Although I’m cautious with respect to curses, I do believe they do exist and if you would like to read more about my thoughts on curses read my article on them here.
As far as energy vampirism, I’m 100% positive this nasty bit of work does exist and will discuss strategies for dealing with it. I wish you a glorious Summer Solstice tomorrow! Be mindful of sun and heat stroke.
Blessings Kathleen
